Artist Statement

Replicating the vintage feel of Relics and Artifacts with Contemporary techniques to explore the human experience and record our history, I am foremost a storyteller who believes in the adage “Tragedy + time = comedy”. I often use a twisty bit of humor to express the fragilities we share in order to resonate with my audience.

Artist Bio

I took a non-linear pathway to my present art practice. When I decided to take the full-time plunge, I reeducated myself by fully immersing in a curriculum of workshops and classes spanning the last 14 years. First focusing on a mixed media platform of study then venturing into portrait study and a variety of painting techniques and finally finding my way to ceramics, where I have recently received certification from the Center for the Study of Figurative Sculpture. Ceramic Storytelling and exploring surface design is currently my primary art focus.
