At an early age Kelly found painting a positive inspiration in his life and as he developed his skills and a desire to learn, he pursued training near his boyhood home in northeast Alabama at a local college.
After encouragement from his very supportive mother, he submitted his art at local festivals winning numerous awards. In time his currently wide range of styles and mediums developed enabling him to paint large abstracts, landscapes, animal portraits and whimsical contemporary figures. His work is currently in collections including corporate, private and the Gadsden Museum of art.
Kelly currently resides in Nashville, TN. and continues to paint in his travels to Italy, Maui and in Gallery 202 studio in Franklin, Tennessee.
